PwC/AACSB Grant Supports Management Curriculum for the Digital Era

Professor Thomas Begley has been invited to serve as chair of the management discipline of the Management Curriculum for the Digital Era (MaCuDE) project, which was initiated by Stevens Institute of Technology and is sponsored by PwC and AACSB. Its premise is that business schools have not kept up with the digital transformation of business and therefore, cannot provide students with the most up-to-date skills.

The project consists of three stages: first, collect data on current offerings in business school courses and curricula; second, interview professionals and managers about their experience with digitalization; and third, develop syllabi and programs that incorporate the necessary skills and knowledge. It also offers the opportunity to research the topic. Begley, who previously served as dean of the Lally School, received a grant of $25,000 to support the research.
